Trevor Bayliss has left his role as London Spirit coach after leading The Hundred franchise for three seasons.
The former England coach succeeded the late Shane Warne in 2022 and led Spirit to the Eliminators in his first season.
But the last two seasons were more difficult, as the team finished second to last and last, winning only three of 16 games in both years.
The Australian's contract expired at the end of the 2024 season.
“We would all like to thank Trevor for his significant efforts over the last three seasons,” said Fraser Stewart, General Manager of London Spirit.
“He initially joined us under difficult circumstances and led the team to a strong finish in 2022, but the team has not been able to repeat that success since.”
“As a group we are keen to see London Spirit competing at the right end of the table and we believe a new approach could improve our chances. Trevor leaves Lord’s with our best wishes and gratitude.”
Bayliss was England coach from 2015 to 2019, leading the team to a famous victory over New Zealand at Lord's and winning the 2019 cricket World Cup.
He had previously led Sri Lanka to the final in 2011, where they were beaten by co-hosts India.
He has also served as a coach with Australian Big Bash team Sydney Sixers, as well as Indian Premier League's Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings.
Spirit also confirmed that Ashley Noffke will remain head coach of the women's team he led first hundred title in 2024.
