Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn announced Friday that cornerback Marshon Lattimore will not make his debut in the Week 12 game against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday – meaning the former Pro Bowler will start his first three games with his new team since being dealt by the New Orleans Saints at the NFL trade deadline.
And Washington has lost each of its first two games since moving to Lattimore. They lost to Pittsburgh 28-27 and were eliminated by division rivals Philadelphia Eagles 26-18. The Commanders gave up 746 yards in those two games, so they could have used Lattimore's help. But a nagging hamstring injury has kept him sidelined since October 27.
Quinn added that while he is optimistic that Lattimore will be able to play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 13, it is still too early to say for sure that he will be ready. If he misses that game too, there's a good chance Lattimore won't make his Commanders debut until after their bye in Week 14 – meaning he'll face his old team when Washington visits the Saints in Week 15. Stay tuned.
