A change at right guard is made in Week 13

The Indianapolis Colts have made a change at right guard for their Week 13 game against the New England Patriots.

Accordingly As the Colts warmed up before Sunday's game, Mark Glowinski was the right guard and not Dalton Tucker.

Tucker has started there since Will Fries was placed on injured reserve, but he's struggled a lot lately.

In the last three games, Tucker has taken his beating, allowing 13 pressures and two sacks in the last three games alone. Out of 72 eligible guards in that span, Tucker ranks 72nd in PFF's pass-blocking efficiency metric and 60th in run-blocking rating.

Glowinski was added to the Colts' practice squad almost two weeks ago and was selected for today's game.

Glowinski is a veteran right guard who enters this week's game with 124 career appearances, including 59 games with the Colts from 2017 to 2021.

Glowinski hasn't played under Shane Steichen before, but worked with current Colts offensive line coach Tony Sparano Jr. during the 2022 season when both were with the Giants.

Glowinski's last regular season action came last year with these Giants. He played 520 offensive snaps during the 2023 season, allowing six sacks and 17 pressures, although he performed quite well as a run blocker, according to PFF's stats.

If the Colts want to find more consistency on offense, they must first play better up front. The running game has struggled to get going in recent weeks and Anthony Richardson was under constant pressure against Detroit.

Boyd also noted that Matt Goncalves has moved over to right tackle with Bernard Raimann out and Braden Smith out.
