The quick implementation of the play calls benefited the entire offense.

“Thomas didn’t encourage me to run more,” Williams said. “He just encouraged me to get the ball to my guys and be efficient that way, do that well, and then if they want to play a certain defense or play me a certain way and leave the lanes open, then I have legs and I can use that to help my team win and go from there.
“The only goal when I go into a game is to find ways to keep us on the field, find ways to be efficient, find ways to help this offense score and this team to help win. If I have to run a little bit. More than that, if I have to drop back and throw the ball, if I have to hand the ball off 40 times, then that’s what it is.”
