Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston received a warm welcome as he visited Gillette Stadium for the New England Patriots' game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots didn't win the game, but Kingston, who is a huge fan of the team, got the experience of a lifetime as the team's Week 13 “Keeper of the Light.”
The “Keeper of the Light” is tasked with ringing the bell on top of the lighthouse in the stadium before the game.
In one On the team's social media page, Kingston was seen touring the stadium before his lighthouse duties. He posed for a photo with all six championship rings on his fingers, walked onto the football field and even had a face-to-face meeting with owner Robert Kraft.
The Patriots also surprised him with a custom jersey.
“My inner child is going crazy right now,” Kingston said. “…I don’t even know what to say at the moment. This is crazy, these are my people. That’s crazy.”
Kingston has made a career out of surprising fans and doing charity work for children. His job is to bring joy and put a smile on faces.
It's incredible to see how everything works in reverse, with him as a fan and the smile on his face.
