Liam Paro puts his IBF super lightweight title on the line for the first time against Richardson Hitchins at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in Puerto Rico on Saturday.

Eddie Hearn's Matchroom promotes Paro against Hitchins and DAZN broadcast live on television.

Paro (25-0, 15 KOs) has impressively continued his climb up the rankings, and after knocking out the unbeaten Brock Jarvis in Brisbane, the 28-year-old then knocked out Montana Love in six rounds in San Francisco. That paved the way for an attack on IBF boss Subriel Matias.

Matias was at home in Puerto Rico, but it would require Paro clear victory in sight.

His first defense looks difficult. Hitchins (18-0, 7 KOs) is a technician who has won all 18 of his professional fights.

The 27-year-old earned a comfortable points win over Jose Zepeda in September last year, earning him a eliminator for the IBF crown.

To many it looked like Gustavo Daniel Lemos' aggressiveness had done enough to take the win, but Hitchins' boxing was favored and he conceded one Points victory to earn his chance at Paro.

Prediction: I think Paro shines better against punchers than boxers, and that could play into Hitchins' hands. I'm leaning towards the American becoming the new champion through a decision, even if it could be a difficult matter.

Rivera attacks Gonzalez

Yankiel Rivera is a Puerto Rican who appears to be on his way to stardom. He is defending his WBO Intercontinental flyweight title and wants to secure the vacant WBC silver belt against Angel Gonzalez.

Rivera (6-0, 2 KOs) is coming off an eye-catching wide points win over Victor Sandoval and will look to continue his fast pace here.

Gonzalez (14-0, 7 KOs) is undefeated but has only gone ten rounds once.

Prediction: The choice should be for Rivera to advance with a clear win on the scorecards.

Lebron meets Vélez

At super featherweight, Henry Lebron (19-0, 10 KOs) can win the IBF Latino and WBO NABO titles by surpassing Christopher Diaz-Velez (29-4, 19 KOs), who was only stopped by Emanuel Navarrete in the final round of a world title -Challenge in 2021.

Castro clashes with Quintana

Marc Castro (13-0, 8 KOs) is still in the learning phase of his career, but the lightweight should have enough to earn a stoppage win over Argentina's Agustin Ezequiel Quintana (20-2-1, 13 KOs).

Remaining undercard

In eight rounds, bantamweight hopeful Juan Zayas (10-0-1, 8 KOs) can prevail on points against Geraldo Valdez (16-2, 11 KOs) and in the super lightweight against William Ortiz (6-0, 4 KOs) can get a victory at the distance against Lionell Colon (6-0, 3 KOs).

Stephanie Pineiro (7-0, 2 KOs) can also remain undefeated by winning on points against Ogleidis Suarez (30-5-1, 14 KOs) in their welterweight bout.

The only four-rounder is at super featherweight, where Carlos Leon Castro (2-0, 1 KO) may have too much for Jose Alfredo Guevara (2-2-1, 1 KO) to win early.
